Job Description
Summary of Position:
To ensure that all guests are greeted and seated in a friendly, hospitable, and prompt manner using appropriate procedures in accordance with Uccello's Standards. Assisting all service team members and management in anticipating our guest’s needs and operating a clean and efficient restaurant.
Duties & Responsibilities:

Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival.

Open the front door for guests entering or leaving the restaurant.

When immediate seating is limited, record guest names and number of people in party on the wait list.

Effectively use paging system to notify guests when tables become available.

Provide guests with estimated waiting time.

Accommodate special seating requests for guests whenever possible.

Seat guests based on their preferences while still balancing the number of guests in a server’s sections.

Engage in friendly conversation as you seat guests

Upon seating, offer guests a menu and inform them of their server’s name and any features or specials.

Bus tables quickly and efficiently whenever needed and inspect table for proper presentation and completeness.

Answer the phones promptly with a clear and friendly greeting and answer any questions in a friendly, helpful and knowledgeable manner

Relay phone messages to all management team members as needed.

Create a positive final impression by thanking guests as they leave and invite them to return.
Requirements
Qualifications:

No previous restaurant experience required.

Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.

Must have exceptional grooming habits.

Be personable, friendly and outgoing.
