Job Description

Summary of Position:

 

To ensure that all guests are greeted and seated in a friendly, hospitable, and prompt manner using appropriate procedures in accordance with Uccello's Standards. Assisting all service team members and management in anticipating our guests' needs and operating a clean and efficient restaurant.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Receive and process all take out orders.
  • Extensive menu knowledge needed.
  • Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival.Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk-in cooler. Prepare product.
  • Provide guests with estimated waiting time.
  • Answer the phones promptly with a clear and friendly greeting and answer any questions in a friendly, helpful and knowledgeable manner
  • Relay phone messages to all management team members as needed.
  • Create a positive final impression by thanking guests as they leave and invite them to return.

Requirements

 
Qualifications: 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 6 months of customer service, retail sales, or food service experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing manner
  • Ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions
  • Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with guests in English

 

Skills needed:

  • Active Listening- giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
  • Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
  • Must be able to make correct monetary change.
  • Speaking- talking to others to convey information effectively
  • Social Perceptiveness- being aware of others' reactoins and understanding why the react as they do.
  • Hospitality Orientation- actively looking for ways to help people.
  • Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
