UHG is locally & family-owned, operating 8 restaurants in the Greater Grand Rapids area. We are founded on Italian family values and strive to save a place for everyone at our table.

Faro Uccello, Founder of UHG, opened the first Uccello’s Ristorante in 1996. Since then, Uccello's has grown into 6 successful locations and has become a staple in the West Michigan community. We didn't want to stop there... In 2016, we launched our fast-casual concept, Herb & Fire Pizzeria, and have since opened a second location.

With our continuous growth, we are looking for passionate, dedicated and experienced individuals who are interested in developing their Hospitality careers.

Summary of Position:

To ensure that all guests are greeted and served in a friendly, hospitable, and prompt manner using appropriate procedures in accordance with Uccello's Standards. Assisting all service team members and management in anticipating our guest’s needs and operating a clean and efficient restaurant.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Answering telephones with a smile in your voice.

  • Ability to listen and calmly interact over the telephone and in person.

  • Accurately assist guests with their orders, from placement, payment processing and consolidating orders accurately and with efficiency.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Must be minimum 18 years of age and have valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
  • Must have access to an insured vehicle which can be used for delivery.
  • Must possess a smart phone that includes navigation tools, and possess skills to read a map, and locate addresses within our delivery area.
  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop or lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Be able to navigate steps and rough terrain, including multi-level buildings.
  • Be able to work in varying weather conditions.
  • Must have exceptional grooming habits.
  • Be personable, friendly and outgoing.

  • Active Listening- giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
  • Speaking- talking to others to convey information effectively
  • Social Perceptiveness- being aware of others' reactions and understanding why the react as they do.
  • Hospitality Orientation- actively looking for ways to help people.
  • Reading Comprehension- the ability to understand written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents
  • Coordination- adjusting actions in relation to others' actions.
